On April 10th, 2026, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration issued a temporary exemption to support the transition to the National Registry II (NRII) system.
This update allows CDL and CLP holders to continue using paper medical certificates as proof of medical qualification, despite the industry’s shift toward fully digital records.
